Gon't be afraid of going to the dentist anymore

Going to the dentist used to be excruciating for many people; people did what they could to avoid going to the dentist until they were driven there by pain they could no longer stand.

To fix a tooth, a dentist had to give you several uncomfortable injections with an enormous needle to numb the mouth, resulting in a tingling sensation along with drooling -- this was just part of the process.

Well, this is no longer the case, because some dentists now have an FDA-approved system called Single Tooth Anesthesia (STA). At the start, this new anesthetic system sends a tiny amount of anesthesia only to the tooth that the dentist needs to work on, and then continues administering it throughout the entire time the tooth is being worked on.

It takes but a few minutes to work, and wears off before you know it; no embarrassing drool, nor do you wind up biting the inside of your cheek.

This system costs a lot, but as a patient, you won't see it. On the other hand the dentist has to make a hefty investment to first buy the STA system, so few have it. It is a good idea to check with the dentist in your area to see if the Single Tooth Anesthesia System is available; however if it isn't available, then it is alright to find a dentist who does offer this, since this may suggest that the dentist in your area doesn't have recent dental equipment or up-to-date dental methods.

So go ahead and have the dentist check your teeth and stop procrastinating; you will be one of the first people on the earth to use this innovative procedure, and let it be a conversational piece among your friends. Before you speak about Single Tooth Anesthesia with them, I guarantee, just mentioning a dentist appointment will have them turning their faces away, and getting ready to begin talking about horrible stories, but you can tell them you honestly didn't feel anything bad when your root canal or dental implant was done.

  1. Today, it is now easy to find a good (Chicago) sedation dentist. With that, adults and children have no reason to be afraid of dental surgery because there's an effective IV or Intravenous sedation which will let a patient sleep. With that, they won't feel the pain of dental surgery.
